WATER FILTRATION
Before deciding which filter is suitable for your needs, see all the information you may need from us and choose from our wide range the one that suits your needs.
What is water filtration?
Water filtration effectively removes suspended solids or other substances and improves the natural characteristics of water, with turbidity, odor and taste criteria. Each filtration system can be installed separately, but also be a pre-treatment stage for a reverse osmosis system.
Filtration is performed by using correctly the following filters:
- Cartridge filters
- Sand filters
- Activated carbon filters
- Iron & Manganese removal filters
Cartridge filter cases
- Plastic case
- Single cartridge cases.
- Multi-cartridge cases
- Bag cases.
Cartridge filter spare parts.
Our spare parts are:
- Depth cartridge filters.
- Pleated cartridge filters.
- Membrane cartridge filters.
- Activated carbon cartridge filters.
- Bag filters.
- Cartridge-filters
We have all kinds of cartridges and bag filters in stock from 10’’ to 40’’ length with filtration rate of 1 micron to 25 microns.
The sand filter is the water filtration step up to 25 microns. The container may be of fiber glass or a metal structure, depending on the supply and filtration needs.
The pressure vessel is designed for 40% free space for backwashing above normal bed.
- Anthracite
- Quartz sand
- Gravel
Sand filters are used as:
- Individual installation of water filtration
- Pre-treatment of reverse osmosis water
The amount of fillers and their granulometry depend on the desired filtration. Manual or automatic sand filters are available. The automatic filters consist of 5 automatic pneumatic valves controlled by the PLC and the washing is done by differential pressure or by a predetermined time.
Sand filters have several applications, for example in the case of pool filtration.
The iron – manganese removal technology is used for the removal of iron and manganese from water by a natural method so that water can be used for further processing. The speed of water filtration, the filler types and the pre-chlorination of water, are the parameters for the effective removal of iron and manganese.
Iron – manganese removal filters are used as:
- Individual installation of water filtration
- Pre-treatment of reverse osmosis water
The container may be fiberglass or metallic, depending on the supply and the filtration requirements.

The filter filler materials are:
- Activated Carbon
- Quartz sand
- Gravel
Uses of activated carbon filters:
- Dechlorination of water
- Organic load retention
- Individual water filtration
- Pre-treatment of reverse osmosis water
What do we need to know about active carbon filters?
Below we give you some tips that contribute to the proper use of activated carbon filters:
- Their manufacturing quality significantly influences the water filtration process
- It is advisable to place them in a cold-water supply
- It should be replaced at least once a year, as all toxic and dangerous substances accumulate in their pores.
- Better water filtration is achieved when the water passes through them slowly
