Disinfection of water

An ideal means of ensuring the cleanliness of drinking water is the use of chlorine dioxide as a disinfectant. Chlorine dioxide is particularly effective against all forms of microbes and has a long residual effect on the system, which means that even without disinfecting the extraction of water.

The big advantage of chlorine dioxide over other disinfectants is its effectiveness against biofilms.

Oxperm Pro OCD-162 and Oxiperm 164 are the most effective solutions for combating Legionella and other microbes in drinking water. Oxiperm Pro OCD-162 systems produce chlorine dioxide using dilute solutions of sodium chloride (NaClO2, 7.5%) and hydrochloric acid (HCl, 9%).

Systems are available at four skill levels, producing 5, 10, 30 or 60 g / h of chlorine dioxide. This capacity is enough to treat up to 150 m³ of drinking water per hour with a maximum permissible concentration of 0.4 mg / l ClO2.
